Please join AzCA on March 10 & 11 for our annual conference at Northern Arizona University, North Valley Campus in Phoenix.
We are excited to announce our featured speaker, David M. Kaplan, Ph.D., NCC. Dr. Kaplan is a Past President of the American Counseling Association and its current Chief Professional Officer. He is also a Past President of the International Association of Marriage and Family Counselors, the New York Counseling Association, and the New York Association of Marriage and Family Counselors. Dr. Kaplan’s experience includes eighteen years in private practice and college counseling settings as well as twenty-five years of experience as a counselor educator. Dr. Kaplan’s publications include one book, nine book chapters/contributions and forty journal articles. He has conducted 370 professional presentations on such topics as counseling ethics, professional issues in counseling, family counseling, and counseling association management.
Dr. Kaplan will present on Raising the Bar: Critical New Concepts in the ACA Code of Ethics. This presentation will highlight new ethical imperatives in such areas as professional values, social media, the imposition of counselor personal values, and fee splitting.
